What is EXIP?
“EXIP is designed to decentralise the internet and overcome monopolistic control over domain names and Top-level domains. A Blockchain DNS solution where an agnostic NFTs prefered by you identifies your domain & Top-Level Domain. EXIP DNS is blockchain-based, and the owner of the respective domain & top-level domain has complete control of its usage, even the provisioning of new domain names cum subdomains.
EXIP ecosystem is custom-built to the needs of any individual, private or government institution. EXIP token is an agnostic usage & governance token releasing initially based on the Binance chain. EXIP tokens will be used to buy, sell, and auction domains & top-level domains, while token holders will get staked when domains & TLDs are purchased & auctioned.
EXIP browser & Extension will enable users to access blockchain-based DNS technologies where everything progresses with a zero-knowledge policy. No one will own the internet but the community. Giving the security of an intranet meanwhile and providing the connectivity of the internet. Only then we can build a genuinely free and open internet.”
What EXIP wants to achieve:
The original internet was intended to democratize economic power and influence. The goal was to provide everyone unfettered access to the internet and information. But over time the opposite happened. Today, the internet has very little independence. Countries, governments, corporations and individuals do not ‘own’ their domain name but instead have to arbitrarily bend to the whims and will of certain non-profit entitles, governments and top tech giants resulting in little internet independence.
As a solution, the EXIP Project rolled out as a ‘By Community for Community’ project, is focused on creating more independence for the Internet and the online world. EXIP is driven by the need to ensure the Internet remains neutral without domains and Top-Level Domains (TLDs) being monopolistically controlled by entities such as Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) and The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
Going beyond the conventional mindset, the robust technology of the EXIP Project has embraced out of the box thinking to revolutionize and decentralize the Internet.
The EXIP ecosystem is custom-built to cater to the needs of individuals, private entities and government Institutions. To overcome the current restrictions, the project proposes application of a Blockchain Domain Name System (DNS) solution where an agnostic Non-Fungible Token (NFT) — a unique blockchain-based token with the ability to verify authenticity, history and ownership — identifies and protects domains and TLDs. Thus, the EXIP solution ensures the owner of any domain or top-level domain to have complete control of its usage, even to the extent of creating and providing new domain names via subdomains. Once the project reaches fruition, EXIP envisions a global community with a genuinely free and open internet.
What EXIP aims to provide as security features are of the following:

● DNS Hijacking
● DNS Flood
● Domain Hijacking
● Censorship resistance etc.
Once the user, either from a web client or mobile client, requests for a website, the EXIP browser or browser extension immediately looks up the Content identifier(CID) for the domain name in the local registry. If available, it will return the CID, and on request from the browser, the webserver would return the HTML files, and the browser would render the website. If a CID is not found in the local registry, the browser will request the CID from the DNS server. The server resolves the CID, and in response, the browser would cache the CID in the local registry and request the HTML files from the webserver.
